Tucked away in the picturesque mountains of Bath County, Virginia, the Warm Springs Pools boast a history dating back to 1761, making them the oldest spa structure in the U.S. that’s still in use. The restoration work incorporated historic tax credits and ensured that the iconic name Warm Springs Pools was reinstated, reminiscent of its glory days in the twentieth century. This re-imagination of the pools attempted to preserve the historic building fabric while restoring the elements to reflect their 1925 grandeur, identified by the Virginia Department of Historic Resources as its Period of Significance. An American landmark that brings together health, tradition, and relaxation, the pools are ready to serve future generations with the same allure as they have for centuries.
