Nothing is out of the realm of possibility when it comes to Katie’s approach to solving design problems. She will tap into any creative method that helps her form a vision for the great design that is longing to emerge. Her natural curiosity combined with a love of adventure has inspired her to seek out unique design solutions throughout the world. Whether it’s hiking the Inca trail, visiting Mayan temples in Mexico or experiencing the Viking ruins in Ireland, ancient structures of the past have energized her design approach. She also admires the more eclectic integration of structure and biomorphic designs of Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang in Chicago. On the weekends, you’ll find Katie biking, hiking, running and playing with her two beautiful children.
Katie received her Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
