Located on a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay, this weekend retreat was designed for owners who sought a house that had “the perception of an older home.” An updated use of traditional and reclaimed materials — white clapboard, river stone, flagstone, and standing seam metal — evokes an contemporary farmhouse aesthetic that aligns its architecture with local building traditions.
