Process
The clients envisioned this hilltop property beset by a pond as their forever home. Inspired by French/English aesthestics, this country manor was designed with an estate type feel with the house, pool house, greenhouse, surrounding gardens and pathways, all while making sure the scale wasn’t overwhelming by adjusting the windows and trim proportions. Materials were chosen that were familiar to the Virginia vernacular with whitewashed brick, light-colored slate roofing, and bluestone.
