Part of the revitalization of Manchester’s Reynolds South campus, The Overlook at City View + City View Row serves to create an unprecedented urban neighborhood within the post-Industrial fabric of Richmond’s south side. Five unique buildings, situated on an urban scale grid, provide 120 lofts and apartments, 10 townhomes, and over 12,260 SF of retail and mixed-use space, creating dynamic interactions between city dwellers and visitors alike. Drawing upon integral landscape design, the architecture of the buildings creates an embracing and exciting sense of place. The intensely landscaped street, plaza, courtyard, and outdoor dining are mixed throughout the development providing ample outdoor gathering spaces. While modern indoor amenities for fitness, recreation, and community interaction, strive to engage residents with their environment and neighbors. Comprising 3.32 acres, and 2 ½ blocks along Hull Street, The Overlook buildings will extend the urban fabric of Richmond’s downtown into the viable and vibrant Manchester district. The thoughtful design of The Overlook has resulted in a neighborhood within a neighborhood, bringing much needed pedestrian activity and commerce to an underserved corridor of Richmond. We’re excited to continue our work in revitalizing this neighborhood with The Overlook II. Most recently completed is Continental Manchester restaurant and Stella’s Grocery who were looking to expand their locations in this upcoming neighborhood.
