Process
An architects’ bookshop was created in the original library of the Branch House, a Tudor Revival mansion designed by John Russell Pope that now houses the Virginia Center for Architecture. The ornate space was retrofitted with shelving, lighting, and a book display kiosk encircled by bench-type seating. New casework features a custom double-ogee profile that mimics two leaves of an open book.
