Process
Childhood memories of a Williamsburg farmhouse instigated a collaborative process between owners and designers. The result was a Colonial Revival house that appears to have evolved over time, yet subtly accommodates contemporary expectations. A reworking of timeless elements — oversized windows, brick water table course, shake roof — reduced the apparent scale of the large house, and resulted in an updated historicism redolent with authenticity.
